Choose your colors

The six colors above are starting points. In the editor you can set the header to any color, match it to your brand, and change the fonts. The tag is our own drawing of the familiar layout: a colored header with HELLO and “my name is”, a big white writing area and a colored strip at the foot.

  • White HELLO text needs a dark enough header. Deep red, blue, green, violet and black all read well from a few steps away.
  • Add your logo or the event name, or keep it classic.
  • Printed names use a marker-style hand by default. Pick any other font from the catalogue if you prefer.

Print names from a list or blank tags

Same template, two ways to use it.

Names from a spreadsheet

Import your guest list from Excel, CSV or pasted rows and every tag gets its own name. Long names are fitted to a readable size, and any that still don’t fit are flagged before you print, never cut off. How the import works.

Blank tags to write on

When you export, choose Blank badges and type how many you need (8 fill one sheet). The tags print with the white area empty, ready for a marker. Handy for walk-ins and for the spare tags at the welcome table.

Classic name tag tips

  • Make the first name the biggest thing on the tag. It is the part people read. Last names can be smaller or left off.
  • For write-in tags, use a felt-tip or chisel-tip marker. Ballpoint lines are too thin to read, and some gel pens smudge on matte labels. Try one tag before the event.
  • Print at 100% (Actual size). Print the first page on plain paper and hold it against a label sheet up to the light. Our printing guide covers the settings.
  • Stick tags on the right side of the chest, so they are in view when you shake hands.
  • Adhesive tags can mark delicate fabrics such as silk, suede and leather. Offer clip-on holders for those.
