The designs are original to Name Badge Creator. They are not copies of Avery, Canva or Word templates: each one is drawn by our own badge
engine, and the previews on this page are real badges, not screenshots.
Open a template and its text fields fill in from your attendee list: first and last name, job title, company, role, pronouns and a QR
code. You can change everything else: colors, fonts, the logo and background artwork, and you can add, move, resize or hide any text,
image, shape or QR code element.
Long names get smaller, then wrap, but never below a readable size. On a 4 × 3 in badge our templates set that floor between 11
and 18 pt (14 pt in most). A name that still doesn’t fit is flagged for you to review, never cut off.
Role colors always print the role word too, so Speaker, Staff or Volunteer still reads in black and white.
QR codes keep a clear quiet zone and stay matched to the right person when you sort or filter the list.
Designing, editing, the proof and the mockup need no account. Only the final download asks for a free one.

Conferences and trade shows
Role bands, QR codes and room for a logo and the event name.
Templates are drawn for the badge, not for one sheet. Change the size in the editor and the design reflows: text boxes, bands and the QR
code move to fit, and every name is checked again.

We don’t make Word (.docx) files. The templates are edited in your browser and exported as print-ready PDF or PNG, which keeps names,
logos and sizes exactly as you see them, on any printer.
If you have to use Word, our name tag mail merge guide walks through it step by
step, with the label settings and fixes for the usual problems.
Frequently asked questions
Are these name badge templates free?
Yes, every template is free to open, edit and proof. Downloading the final files needs a free account; exports are free during launch and will cost $10 later.
Can I edit the templates?
Yes. Change colors, fonts, the logo and background artwork, and add, move, resize or hide any text, image, shape or QR code element. Text fields such as the name, title and company fill in from your attendee list.
Where can I find free, editable, printable name tags for Word?
We do not provide Word files. Our templates are edited in the browser and exported as print-ready PDF or PNG, which keeps names, logos and sizes exactly as you see them. If you must use Word, our mail merge guide walks through it step by step.
What size are the templates?
Every template works at every size we support, from 2-1/3 x 3-3/8 in sticker labels to 3 x 4 in holder inserts, CR80 cards and A4 sheets. Change the size in the editor and the design reflows; names are checked again for fit.
Can I make vertical (portrait) badges?
Yes. Portrait templates suit lanyard holders and conference badges; landscape templates suit stickers and pin badges. You can switch the badge orientation in the editor.
Can I print the templates at a print shop?
Yes. Export single badges with 3 mm (about 1/8 in) bleed and crop marks, which most print shops ask for, or a ZIP of PNG images.
